The presidential inauguration is the event that fills Brasília the most — caravans from every state, political delegations, foreign missions and whole families come to watch the ceremony at the Esplanada dos Ministérios. At previous inaugurations, hotels in the central area doubled or tripled their rates and sold out months in advance.

And one detail makes 2027 even more special: the inauguration falls right after New Year's Eve. Those who come, come for both — and stay 4 to 5 days.

The smart alternative: a whole house in Lago Sul
